*random* ^^;; First self portrait in a long time, maybe? I dunno. Happy with how it was colored, not too happy about the initial concept though. Just doodling… Trying to get back into drawing things other than fan stuff.

Wheeew. e_e there are WAAAAY too many categories to pick from that anything can fit into nowadays. ah well. *drop kicks it into this directory*
So, been trying to get back into the swing of things; getting hit like a ton of bricks for inspiration on things to do OTHER than draw. XP New Forum Skin, Make a Movie, Make a fan-game, do everything else in the world like play games. 
But, every once in a while I get a nice push for artwork. This was one of them. Well, everything except the background. XP;;
Or the shading for that matter… I was more inspired by the theoretics behind the meaning, more than “how to color it” or “what background should I use?”.
It’s basically like this… Shadow (as himself) now has to lead HIMSELF (child) in his new life, to be himself. In a metaphysical sense, he has to learn everything over again, thusly needing someone to take his hand, and show him the way.

I used paths with stroke widths for the lines, painterly style colored it (and screwed up on Chibi Shadow. ), then I found some of my RL Photo textures and pieced it together to try and create a park scene. But I think I went overboard. And yes, I realize that the pebbles under them are facing the wrong direction. XP I realized that too late.

Sorry about that. ^^;
Alright. So in an extra effort for Kato, I was bored waiting for my computer at work to finish doing whatever it was doing…that was taking a very very long time… So I sketched out a rough of my cat Kato. Thought I think his tooth is on the other side.
After work, I had finished it off, messed around with some Fur texturizing brush I made, and didn’t know what to do for a background. I bailed on it. Ah well!

I figured I would share with everyone what my cat Kato looks like, considering I’ve mentioned him many times.
This is my cat Kato. ^^ He looks a little ragged here, I’m sorry, but I have this inane ability to never take photos.. x.x; Only when it’s too late.
When we first adopted him (then he, us afterward), he came from a house full of Cat’s. A Wild Tom kitty, full of scratches and everything.
He began to plump up, I had trained him to do a few commands. (He could sit, stay and come when I called, and when treats were involved. XD).
